Aerobic conditioning: At the community clubhouse LHB did 10-minutes elliptical, 35-minutes treadmill (25 running), 3 sets of pull-up/chin-up doubles. At home she did Karen Voight’s Pilates DVD (50-minutes), and then closed with some stretching.
"Mixed Madness": The Lady Hardbody Workout of the Day consisted of 35 exercises, the majority using a variety of weight resistance equipment and exercise devices (e.g. Clubbells, kettlebells, dumbbells, Heavy Hands, medicine ball, ab wheel, Power Wheel, parallettes).
Aerobic conditioning: At World Gym LHB did 10-minutes elliptical, 35-minutes treadmill (30-minutes running, 5-minutes walking). At home did 3 sets of pull-ups and then closed with some 10-minutes of yoga from 10-Minute Solution: Yoga DVD.
"Tabata Torture": The Lady Hardbody Workout of the Day consisted of 13 exercises essentially performed using the Tabata protocol of 20 seconds work, 10 seconds rest, 8 sets of each exercise. Total time of 56:39. Finished with 25-minutes of yoga from a Karen Voight DVD.
Home DVD workout: LHB did 30 minutes of ab work from the Crunch Bikini Body DVD. This was followed by tw0 10-minute Piltaes sessions from the 10-Minute Solution: Rapid Results Pilates DVD.
"Dumbbells Dynamo": The Lady Hardbody Workout of the Day consisted of: Burpees (25 "real jump" in 1:45.84), short pause, then 12 double-pushup burpees. The main portion of the workout revolved around 20 different dumbbell exercises, 5 exercises having multiple sets. Added 4 sets of ankle weights exercise, and then a circuit of pull-ups, pushups, burpees (with 2x5 lb. dumbbells), and chin-ups. Closed with 20 minutes of yoga.
Variety: At the local playground LHB did 4 sets of pullup/chinup doubles, and some Monkey Bars swinging. She then ran 3 1/2 miles. At home she did 20 minutes of ab work and 20 minutes of yoga.
Aerobic conditioning: LHB did both the Body Pump class and the Step Aerobics class at World Gym. At World Gym she aldo did 10-minutes treadmill running. When she returned home she did 20-minutes yoga, and 30-minutes belly-dancing.
"La Pelota del Infierno": The Lady Hardbody Workout of the Day consisted of: Burpees (50 non-stop in 3:21), followed by 60 seconds rest, then dumbbell thrusters (25 non-stop): total time for burpees and thrusters of 5:25. Medicine ball circuit (29 non-stop med. ball exercises in time of 26:14.97). 2 hand grip strength exercises. 3 core exercises using ab wheel and Power Wheel. 10 minutes of yoga.
